What on earth happened to the main page? You have absolutely no right to make those changes, especially the part about becoming an admin. Although it does need some changes (a lot), I am reverting it back to it's former self and if I see you making any more changes like that, you will be blocked for a period of a week.
You are not an admin here and only admins have the right to decide about becoming an admin on this site. If I see much more stuff like that you will probably never be an admin here.
You shouldn't have had to delete it. It should never have been there. You cannot just put things up that you intend to delete later. If you plan on deleting it, don't both adding it. I don't want to see something like that happen, again. You are on very thin ice right now.
And about the Main page... I was gonna tidy it up. But I left for a while and just published the unfinished product. Are you sure you don't want to see how it would look if it was finished?
All I need is some more time.... And this wikia homepage will be official! I'll even delete the blog.....
I really wanted to finish this, because frankly, I am still puzzeled at what to do to the Charmed Ones' page.
I will have to get back to you on that, because I have to leave now. If you don't know what to do with The Charmed Ones page, trying figuring out how to make your templates collaps. Otherwise stick to that page.
In order to become an admin you would have to a proven history of edits on this site that spanned a reasonable large amount of time and showed that you not only followed the rules of this site, but could also enforce those rules. You would have to show that you were committed to this site, because you wanted the site to be the best it could be. And even that is no guarentee that you would be an admin. That is however when you could ask to be considered for the role.
One of the rules you need to learn is that this site is specifically for the comics. Anything that is only related to the tv show does not belong on this site.
I noticed that you changed the page for Piper's second power. The name Molecular Combustion is not canon, only fanon, and was not used by the characters. As a result of this, I have decided that page will be used by a name more in line with what the sisters called this power. If you have a better than than explosion that was actually used on the show or in the comics, feel free to make a suggestion. However, any changes like that need to be backed up with a reference to where on the show or the comics they come from.
In addition to this, the templates on this site have been created to blend in better and not take up a lot of space. They match the color scheme of the site and are collapsible for this reason.
All work on this wikia must be original and the descriptions you posted is exactly what is posted over at the Charmed wikia. Try rewriting it in your own words, please. And remember to take out reference to characters who are not in the comics. Any information about usage outside of the comics should be sumarized in paragraph form in a section about the show. It is preferable to not have them listed if there is nothing to say about their usage of the power, but the Powers (Layout) page should give you some idea of what to put on the page.
I would like to see what you can come up with, so please, show me. I will be changing the name back, but I am open to suggestions if you have something that is from the show or the comics.
I'm not new to wiki... But I was wondering is there anything you need help with? Because I want to show off my skills, but I've only read the 1st comic. Do you know any previews or something of that nature? Thanks for notifying me on my mistake!
Since you haven't yet read most of the comics, perhaps where you might want to start is with the real people pages. I have pages for the creative team that could use a lot of work and pages for some of the actors who played the characters that appear both on the show and in the comics. It is my intention to make pages for each actor who's character appears in at least one issue of the Charmed comics, but right now I only have a few of them, mostly the major ones.
Here's an example of the basic layout for the actors: Alyssa Milano. Here's a few highlights of what I specifically am looking for there. I want the picture in the infobox to be something post Charmed, preferable within the last year, but if pictures are hard to come by, that is flexible. If you can't find something post Charmed then get a screenshot from the show over something pre Charmed. Lots of images are welcome for the gallery. At present the gallery is on the main page, but I am open to the idea of making a gallery on another page if there are too many pictures to load the page very well. I want a quote's section as seen on Alyssa's page with the comics seperate from anything she said about Charmed and everything else grouped together. I haven't played much with these, but I would like to see collapsible tables used to make things like quotes and listings of acting jobs take up less space.
As you probably noticed when you looked at the page, the infobox is darker than many of the other ones on the site and it's not collapsible. A new infobox needs to be created that matches lighter purple color of the site and is collapsible. I want the information listed in the infobox, but if you want to make a new template and try to see what you can come up with feel free to do that, just remember those three guidelines.
If there are other pieces of info you think would be useful, go ahead and add them both to the template and to the page. I'll see what they look like when you are done.
The creative team pages are a little different since they have more of a direct connection to the comics than the actors do. My prefered pictures for those are ones from Comic Cons or with a comic or piece of artwork. I've done a little experimenting there and I want to collapse lists of comics they worked on as is seen on Ralph Tedesco's page. Paul Ruditis page is a little more complete as is David Seidman's. Take a look at those and you should get a good idea what I am looking for. You can experiment, but make sure to keep the information that is there and for those that are missing some of that info, try and add it.
The template I have made for Creative Team is very extensive, allowing for it to be used by any of the Creative Team and still seem specific to them such as having a list for how many issues they wrote when there are only two people who wrote any of the issues (other than The Sourcebook). If you want to play with the template, copy it into a new template, or make your own, but make sure you include all the information listed there, because I want it to be very versitile. And make sure it's light purple and collapsible.
If you have any questions or if you want to make a major change to something, contact me and we'll discuss it. I'm open to suggestions. I won't take all of them, but I will certainly take some of them.
Oh, if you know anything about the badges, I'm interested in making those more site specific.
Finally, you asked about previews. All I have is pretty much what is posted on the pages for each issue. Usually two to four pages near the beginning of the issue. Some have more because of a page being missing in Cupid's Harrow, different previews from different sites for Crossed, Triple-Crossed, and lots of pencils from the artists, especially Tess Fowler, who has a special gallery just for her own appearances in the Charmed comics. I know where to find issues 0 and 1 for free, but it sounds like you've already read those. Some of the issues have complete summaries, but I'm still working on that. If, after you have read the comics, you want to work on summaries for an issue that doesn't have a completed issue yet, the format I am using is one paragraph and one image for each scene. Images can only be one panel, preferable a small one. The images alternate sides to make it more balanced. The most complete issue page is Oh, Henry and the most complete character page is Paige, because those pages are my guinea pigs. For character pages, I limit how many images are allowed on this site, because I want to tease with the images, not spoil. The story lines may be layed out here, but the images are not and without those images you miss a lot.
The idea of this site is to give people a place to go to find information focused on the comics, so that they can be informed enough to decide if they are interested in them and even if they aren't to still give them a good basis in what happened in them. The only full pages allowed on this site are ones given as official previews. Otherwise all pages must be cropped and only one panel (or two in specific cases where the action is connected between the two and necessary to make sense) per uploaded image. In most cases only one image per character/power/object/location per issue, but under certain conditions I'll allow as many as four (though this is mostly for characters only in one issue).
Sorry, I apparently don't do well with finally. Hopefully this should give you a lot to consider and a lot of potential projects to work on. I look forward to seeing what you can do within the ideas I mentioned.
I did consider that and I changed the wording of the description of the power to reflect that. Howler ever since it is not what she tends to call it, I decided to keep the power "name" as what she calls it rather than what she called it there. I do acknowledge it, but I don't use it on the page titles or the links to those pages.
Do to various things going on in real life I haven't done much on wikia lately, but hopefully I will get back to it soon.
I am also hoping that we will hear news about season ten soon, but so far nothing official. Hints are that it's looking good for season ten to happen.
Welcome and I wanted to know: how do you choose what pictures for the infoboxes? Because I wanted Volume 1 because it has Dave Hoover's work. And I was about to put his work for ALL of the characters featured in the first volume. But it sounds selfish and would you mind if I did?
I chose the pictures I did because I think the likeness is both closet to the character and flattering toward them. There are some images where the likeness is great to sharp cheek degree. I definitely do not want Leo's image changing. I definitely do not want Dave's version of Henry either. I do love Dave's version of Coop. Phoebe looks gorgeous, but not a lot like Alyssa as Phoebe. You can change her if you want though. Although I like Dave's Tyler, I love the image I used. I prefer "action shots" that show something of their personality over photograph style images which is why very little from The Sourcebook is outside the gallery. Those that are mentioned above are the only ones I really don't want changed to Dave's art. I do prefer a variety of art since there are a lot of artist. Make sure any images you take out of infoboxes are in the gallery with the issue name under them and make sure any images you replace them with are in the gallery with the issue name under them. Feel free to use an image already in the gallery if you like it.
Also, to keep the images down (and to avoid the whole issue being up on the site on accident) I limit the number of images per character (or location or power or object) to no more than four per issue with no more than two preferable. In addition if the character appears more than twice in an issue and is in two or more issues, at least one image of them cannot be on the site. I allow the whole story to be on here in words, but not the whole comic in images. Also no full pages. If I've said any of this before (or I say it again, because I forgot I said it here), then I apologize. I try to be thorough in my explanations.
I'm glad you like Dave's work so much. Dave probably is in second or third place for me, but with certain exceptions (Henry) I really like his work.
I noticed that you changed the page about Piper's second power, again. I see that you are trying to meet me halfway on the name thing, so I will accept the name change at present, but there is far too much bolding there and the stuff you have in the opening paragraph needs to be in the description. That opening paragraph needs to be as short as possible, so I am trying to get things down to one or two sentences and move anything at all the later sections that have a more descriptive view of what's in the section. Also the title "List of Beings ..." is longer than I'd like which is why I used "Magical People". If you have an idea that is shorter (and preferably doesn't use "List of" anywhere in it) I'll consider it. And (SPOILER ALERT) you took Tam off that list. She needs to be put back on it. (END SPOILER).
I do appreciate you putting in something about the issues where she used it that had nothing. Those will need to be given more detail, but it's definitely nice to no longer see an empty space there.
Finally, if you are going to change the picture you are going to need to either find something else or cut that one down so it's shorter (or use the original to make it wider). It makes the Infobox too long.
So as to make sure to end this on a positive note, I am glad for your continued interest in helping with this site and I appreciate that you are listening to what I am saying.
Okay. Thanks for the reply! I really want to be an admin here, so whatever it takes! And I though Henry was Daryl in the comics. And Tam has the power to melt...
Everyone thought Henry was Darryl when they saw Dave's version of him, hense the issue with using Dave's version of him. I'm sure given time, he would have gotten a version of Henry that didn't make us think that way. The coloring didn't help of course.
And I disagree about Tam. I don't think she has the power to melt. She starts fires with her power. That is caused by the speeding up molecules, which I think it specifically says in this conversation:
Piper: Kat isn't strong enough to freeze it entirely.
Phoebe: Tam probably speeds molecules up fast enough to make them catch fire, maybe eventually explode.
Piper: We think they split my power.
Based off what I have seen of Piper's third power (which Paul says isn't actually a new power just a new way of using the one she has) that third power will allow her to change things from liquids to solids to gases. It will not allow her to start fires, which is done by speeding up molecules and if it's used to stop someone from moving that someone is in huge trouble, because it would probably kill them by changing them to a more solid form causing their body functions to cease to work.
So, no, I don't think Tam has the power to melt.
And please stop adding all that bolding.
I don't know if you did something to it or not, but the image you uploaded, appears to be much brighter than the comics are. Am I imagining things there or has it actually been brightened?
I am uncertain what this is supposed to prove. As best I can tell this is fan speculation, not something canon. In fact this is making me even more convinced then ever that I should take Paul at his word and conbine all three pages into one, because Paul considers them one power. I disagree with this person's speculation that Piper manipulated molecules to create fire any of those times mentioned.
I find it rather strange that they use Phoebe's quote specifically stating that Tam speeds up molecules as proof that she doesn't.
I need you to stop changing page names without consulting me. I have specific reasons why I use the names I do and I don't appreciate having to change them back like this. Also the picture you used for Orb (Objects) (this name will be returned to the page since Telekinetic Orbing is not canon) is not an image straight from the comics and therefore not allowed in the infobox or the main gallery. If you wish to use that image, you will need to put it in a FanArt Gallery on the page. Any images used on pages for characters, powers, objects, locations, etc must be straight from the comics. This means they cannot have had their colors altered and they cannot have had words removed from the speech bubbles (nor can said speech bubbles be removed unless the piece of the image they are from is actually removed or you have pre-speech bubble version of the page, such as a preview). They can (and should) be cut down to include smaller pieces of the images, limiting it to the piece of the image that is relevant to whatever the page is about.
To explain my point on orbing. The power is orb (or call), a verb. Orbing is a current tense form of it (I think that's the tense anyway). And it refers to both actions involving one's self and the movement of items or people. I chose to put them on two seperate pages, because only those born whitelighters have shown an ability to call objects and people to them. This is also the only reason who Piper's powers have currently not been combined down to one page, but that can be changed.
Well first, about Tam's power, I think she can melt like Piper. If she couldn't then maybe it is something else. As Molecular Decelaration can slow down molecules like slow motion, the Molecular Acceleration can speed the up fast enough to melt or catch fire. Both are weaker forms of Piper's powers.
I'm sorry about the pictures. But I like the idea of the character pages have their own gallery.
With the Orbing verbs I really don't understand.,..
We have seen no evidence that Tam can melt anything or do anything with her power other than catch things on fire. And I disagree that either power is weaker than Piper's power to blow stuff up (unless you specifically mean Tam and Kat's in which case, of course they are weaker. They girls are barely toddlers.)
When you say, gallery, do you mean what I have or something else?
Sorry that I can't explain what I mean about orbing. Basically though it's one verb, "to orb", similar to "to walk". Orb is the base. Orbing is just a form of it.
I agree that their powers are weaker because of their age.
I do not agree with having a seperate page for galleries, especially since there shouldn't be enough pictures to justify them on most of the characters pages.
What this wikia needs is more information filled out, not more images. I will listen to what ideas you have, but I don't want you changing any layouts without my sayso. I currently have the layouts of the pages the way I like them except for the pages for real people, which I notice you still haven't touched despite my suggestion. Those pages really need worked on. If you really want to help, that's what you should be working on.
What if you were to bring in an Admin? From the Charmed Wiki. If you think it is a good idea than I would suggest QueenBuffy even though she doesn't like me that well, she one of Wikia's admins.
As for the layouts, I was unaware of them. But I really am sorry, my volume 1 is on the store on hold. But i have yet to get it.
The actors pages: I was, in fact, going to get to that after I finished with the powers...
Why would I bring in an admin from The Charmed Wiki? To what end? If they wish to come over here and help, they certainly are allowed to, but this wikia is not ready to be advertised yet. Anyone who comes here right now, needs to understand that despite the length of time it is taking, this wikia is still being set up. The layouts for the pages for powers, characters, locations, objects, and issues are currently set. If you don't know those layouts, let me know and I will point you to a page that is mostly complete. For example, Paige Matthews page is a good example of how I want the character pages to look when completed. I want things like lists, to be collapsible, so make sure you get those codes. For issues, the best example of a page is Oh, Henry. I have some sample laqyouts, but I have changed some stuff from them since I made them. If you plan on continuing with the powers, though, you need to read the Powers (Layout) page. This is not the area I need someone working on though.
I would prefer that you worked on the actor pages first as they are so desperately in need of work. They can include as much information as you'd like and you can make seperate page galleries if you wish. Any actors who have a character appearing in the comics can (and should) have a page.
If you don't have your Volume 1 yet, where are you getting the images you are uploading?
I am rarely free for chat, but when I am it is usually between ten-thirty and eleven (my time) due to the timing when I am not working or at school. And I am usually on IM with a friend during that time. If you contact me during that time, I usually can stay on longer than that. I just don't check the site more than once a night, so I won't notice beyond that.
If someone from the Charmed wikia wants to come over here and help out, they are certainly welcome, but anyone doing so needs to know the rules, because from what I've seen over there, the rules for this wikia are not the same as the rules for that wikia. Anyone who does come over here from there (or from anywhere else) should be someone who enjoys the Charmed comics and I don't know anything of the personal opinions over there. Nor do I know anyone over there, but if they enjoy the comics and want to help out, they are welcome so long as they obey the rules.
Yes, I most definitely need help with the actor pages and since the actors aren't actually in the comics, the rules for images are a lot more lax than they are for everything else on this site. Obviously nothing that is not permitted to be posted on wikias, but you can play around with them.
Honestly, for me, it's not okay if I don't have time. My personality doesn't allow for that. With everything that happened this last year, losing my dad and all, it's been a really long year, but until NaNoWriMo I managed to stay active to some degree and I will start doing so, again.
Oh, and the image you posted on the discord page is not allowed in the main gallery because of the empty speech bubbles. You'll need to either remove it, replace it, or create a sub gallery for fanart and put it in that.
I think if you want to not include words, then you need to cut down the image so that is smaller and includes less. The copyright issue is one of the reasons I do not allow an over abundance of images from the comics and why I limit how many images can be used. As I understand it correctly, so long as I do not allow full pages (other than those specifically posted as previews by Zenescope or the creative team) and the images I do allow make up only a small portion of the actual issue, use of the images falls under the fair use rule.
Regardless, speech bubbles with no words are not allowed except as fan art. If you don’t want to include words, find a copy of the image that has not had them added yet. I’m not saying you should make sure that you include the entire speech bubble. I encourage you to cut it down, even in the middle of a word. I’m just saying don’t take the words out of the bubble.
If you are talking about the image on the discord page, it needs to either be removed from that page today and either replaced with something else or put into a Fan Art Gallery. That image especially is a fan art piece since it combines two nonconnecting images.
And I thought you had agreed to work on the actor pages.
I see that. However, I also see that right after that you went back to power pages. That is not what I need you to work on.
Despite that I want to thank you for using a picture that although altered is only altered to eliminate the white space between the images and for using a name that is in English. However, you need to word it yourself rather than copying from other locations.
On Holly's page, I believe I have told you previously that the intro needs to be very short. Use the first paragraph and remove the link around season 8. There will not be a page on this site to link that to since Season 8 was in the TV show not the comics. And I want more information about the roles she played on TV and in movies. At the very least I want the names of character she played. I also believe I told you previously that templates should match the color scheme of this site. If I did not, I am telling you now. That template is most definitely not a match to the color schem of this site.
I went to the Charmed wiki and asked about their background, I got a name, but I was blocked... Because one of the users thought I was harassing her, but I never contacted her.... We have history and she is just.... !!!!!!!!
Also, why did you delete the Geokinesis page??? Geokinesis is controlling the physical parts of nature, such as: rocks, minerals, etc. Plant control is the controlling nature such as plants and vines.
Also Levitation (objects) is great but the picture.... Neena is actually using her Geokinesis to rise the rock...
Geokinesis, so far as I know (correct me with evidence from the show if I am wrong) is a fan made name used to describe powers used by various different characters. There is no canon connection to these powers, just a connection made by fans. I deleted Geokinisis for the exact reason I stated in the deletion description, the events mentioned were used by other powers. Neena killed by Hogan and Lorna using thorns and branches she created/controled. As to the rock it is being levitated. While you say this is by Geokinisis, there is nothing on Charmed (so far as I know. Again, if you have proof otherwise from the show, please share. I want this to be accurate) that actually connects this power the control of geological formations. It is just levitation of something other than onesself.
I see about the draft. The way you worded your comment to me, I thought you were done with the page. Thank you for clarifying. I'm sorry that you had problems with trying to contact someone on the Charmed wikia. I have never been an editor over there, so I really don't know anyone over there. I do appreciate all the information about Holly's career and the bio about her personal life. I think it needs to be divided up more, but other than too much of it being in the intro section, I thought that part looked great. I probably should have mentioned that earlier.
The name Geokinisis is never mentioned and the power bares no resemblance whatsoever to anything that occured in the comics unless you are thinking of a difference occurrence than I am. If you are, please give a specific example.
If you are going to edit, stop adding things that I have removed. And I see that you are changing page names again. Since you cannot edit power pages without changing names, I am going to request that you stop editing powers. You continue to ignore me when I tell you what needs to be worked on. You worked on one actor page and when I didn't like everything you did, you didn't try to find something else that worked, you didn't add the additional information I requested, you simply stopped editing and now you are back to editing powers. I am glad you have Volume One, however, if you are going to edit, you need to listen to me.
If you must continue to edit power pages, only edit the part that tells what happened in the issues. Thank you.
I can chat in about half an hour. I'm not really somewhere that I can stay on here for very long at the moment. And I'm not sure my iPad will let me use the chat anyway. It tends to not like this kind of thing.
I am going to try and make this clear. I don't know if you will understand what I am saying. Clearly you don't agree with what I am saying, but if a power is called anything in the comics on the TV show, anything at all, a fan name will name be used for the page name. A redirect may be created for the fan name to help those who only know it by the fan name, but the fan name will not be used for the page name. In addition the fan name may be mentioned, in the description of what the powers and only in that location. Additional things that the power is called that are not used as the page name maybe be listed in normal text in the description as well. The intro should be very short, as short as it can possibly be made. Possible intros include a one sentence mini description of the power that will be elaborating on in the description or the first time that power was used or a definition of the power that was seen on the show or in the comics in the book of shadows (if such a description exists). It should not include additional names for the power, because we want this short. If it is a mention of the first usage, this should be condenced and the details be used later in either the "On the Show" section of the page or the "In the Comics" section under the appropriate issue.
In the case that that a power is never called something in the comics or on the show, a very short description (in English, not Latin, if indeed that is what those are) should be used. Usually these will be powers that are only used once (though not always). If they are only used once and not by a main character (i.e. a Halliwell family member), then these one use powers will eventuatually (if they are not already) be put into a page for miscellaneous powers.
I'm glad. I really do want you to edit. I just need you to follow the guidelines of this site when you do that. I don't know how things are done on other sites you are on, but I try to stick to canon as the emphasis for this site. The idea is to provide accurate information about the comics as best as is possible.
As to a new template. I planned on making a new template myself, so go ahead. There are a couple of things you need to keep in mind when you make it:
1) The colors must match the site. That means a form or purple that fits in with the colors of the site. Since the rest of the site is white and black, I prefer what for addtional background colors and black for letters, but if you can come up with a color scheme that still looks good with the color scheme, go ahead and try.
2) It needs to be collapsible so that it takes up less space on the page, length wise. This is one of the reasons I was planning on making new ones. I figured out how to make collapsible infoboxes.
3) The default for the image in the infobox needs to be 300px.
4) The very bottom needs to be a "guide" to which issues the item in the infobox can be found in, first and last. If they only appear in one issue, there should be a line of text under last saying "Only in one issue" or something to that effect.
5) The infobox should not include anything from the TV show (unless you are making a character infobox, in which case a line about the actor who portrayed them is fine)l. Any info from the TV show should be in the main part of the page, mostly under "On the Show" and should be limited since this is about the comics.
On another note, it looks like it will take longer than I thought to get home. I'm not the one driving and when we get home, my mom wants some help with somethings, so it may be another half hour or even an hour before I can get on chat. I will try to get on as soon as possible.
To answer your question about the background, I do want a custom background, but it needs to be something very simple. I don't want anything that draws attention to itself. That means, I want only one image, preferable stretched (although I don't know if wikia can do that) and most likly dark. It should fit in well with the color scheme of the site.
In a proboards site I run, the background is an image from the ending credits of the Book of Shadows in the dark. I think it has a triquetra on it.
I don't know what you are thinking, but hopefully this gives you a good idea what I am thinking. Since the point is to not draw attention to it, I am in no rush, but if you have something you think would work, post a link for me to look at and I will take a look. If I like it, I will use it.
Back to the infobox you created, since you had to leave before I could tell you everything. Any pieces of info that do not have an answer should be left blank and not show up on the page. The big exception is first and last appearances. For example, Piper has no nicknames. This piece of info should not show up in the infobox.
While we are on the topic, you put "Comic Appearence" and "Last Comic Appearance". This is the comic wikia. It should be assumed that those are for the comic books.
I prefer a seperate section for Family. As a result there are two templates for characters, one for characters with family and one for characters without family. This section should include (in this order): Parents, Siblings, Spouse, Kids (or Children), Other Family. Looking at the one I have, I have that in the wrong order as well. Take a look at Phoebe's page to get an idea what I want in there. I'm not saying that some of that can't be rearanged and that some of the info you have (or potentially all) can't be added. I just want to make sure all the info in that template is included. There are additional items that need to be included. Take a look at Prue for more of that information. Or if it works better look at the template.
When you have a chance to modify it, let me know and I will take a look at the new template. I will give you about a week to modify the template. At that time I expect to either see a modified template or the old one back in place.
After much butting heads with the coding, I managed to figure out how to leave out the blank ones and still have the border lines you made (another thing I like about the template). Since it totally rewrites the code, I only changed the first section. While I was at it, I centered and capitalized that heading title. I have not made it collapsible, but I can if you don't know how. I did take what I learned from your code and made the words on one of my infoboxes smaller. I'm sure I can learn other things from the coding there.
Just a heads up...we have had one vampire (well two if you count that one episode where Paige was starting to turn, which is not important for the comics) in the comics so far and we haven't a clue when or by whom she was turned, so that's not really needed info. Since I made it invisible when not filled out, I left it in the template, but it's really not important to have it unlike on other sites that might focus more on that aspect of a character.
Since I try to make custom infoboxes that fit my needs (due to the fact that I can't find any anywhere that are exactly what I want), I have learned a lot about coding in the last year or so (since I started making custom infoboxes). If there is something you want to do with an infobox, but don't know how to do, let me know. If I know how to do it, I will. If I don't I'll figure it out. It might take a while (it took forever to figure out making collapsible infoboxes), but I will figure it out. Just let me know.
On that note, do you want me to go through the template and make the rest of it so that unused options are invisible or does the code I used for the first section give you enough info to work with?
We do have a problem here. I need you to do something for me. I need you to keep away from other websites any time you are working on a page here. I see that you created a page for The Charmed Ones and that is great. The page is not. I have not compared it word for word, but everything that I have compared is identical to what is written on The Charmed Wikia. You must write it in your own words and you must include a lot less info from the TV show. The majority of the information on the page needs to be from the comics. Find out what The Sourcebook says about The Charmed Ones. Find out what happens to them as a group in the comics. And anything that you do keep has to be rewritten in your own words. I know this is harsh, but under no circumstances can this website have exact or even close replicas of pages on other sites. The basic content can be the same (assuming the basic content is focused mostly on the comics, which it is not in this case), but the wording cannot.
In addtion the red of that infobox hurts my eyes. And once more the intro is too long. It needs to be cut down to about one fourth of that length.
Oh about that Charmed Ones page. I copied and pasted what I had to work on tommorow. So when I am ready just delete some stuff (most of it) and then start the page over.
Also I think we should use bold text and the intro shouldn't be how or when they did something, but what we are going to discuss in the article. And one last thing, I will have to fix the red in the morn. *Sleepy*
Okay, as long as you alter the page soon. I was upset, because this isn't the first time I have seen this, but this is the most complete I have seen. I'm sorry if I over reacted, but it does really bother me when I see that.
As to the intro, I'm not so concerned with what it is (so long as it isn't something that fits elsewhere better, such as a description of a power that is better than the one under the description of said power). It is the length that I have issue with. It needs to be short. The reason behind this is because sometimes I see situations with an infobox, sometimes a really long one, ends before the "page index". These page indexes (in my opinion) look bad enough...well, they just look bad in my opinion, they are these skinny little things that take up so little of the width of the page. I don't like it. Yes, this is very much personal preference, but I want those indexes up as high as possible, so that they are next to the infobox and thus the fact that they are so small isn't so obvious. The only way to do this is make the intro short, so I am asking you to make them short. Write about what you think fits, but condence it. Save the details for later.
As to the bold, it is engrained in my mind that this, like all caps, is a form of shouting, and thus rude. I'm not saying that this is how everyone sees it or even most people see. I am saying that this is what I think when I see something in bold like that.
I got the infobox updated so that all the possible entries are invisible if they are empty. Thanks to some recent studies in school, I even know why some of the stuff I am doing works. Believe me, its a lot easier to figure stuff out if you know why it works. If statements are pretty cool.
I moved a few things around and added a section just for family, but I haven't tried to make it collapsible, because I too am getting tired and I don't want to deal with more coding issues tonight. Besides, I have to figure out something unrelated to the wikia before I go to bed and I want to go to bed soon. Well, I don't have to, but I want to.
As long as the next edits I see from you are on that page, it is fine that you have been busy. It happens, just when you have time, that is the page you need to work on.
